Unit 5 (Energies): Solutions to the Classroom Activities
Hi there! Next Monday both classes are taking the exam on Energies. Most of the questions you are going to be asked are in your Workbook and the solutions to these activities are shown in the presentation below and here. The main points in the exam are: energy transformation, how power plants (nuclear, wind turbine) work, forms of energy, heat engines (four-stroke engine), and little more. Good luck.

Unit 5 (Energies): Workshop activities
Hi everybody! As you all probably know, next week we will go to the workshop (2 sessions) to construct a balloon-propelled car (Energy's unit project). You are going to work in pairs and the materials needed for the project are:
You will also need a pair of scissors and a ruler. The picture below (click on the picture to enlarge) shows a car made by former students. Besides the construction of the car, you will have to make some experiments (second session) in order to study the energy transformation. I hope you like it. See you.

Hi! We still have 3 days left before finishing this Easter break but, for those who are eager to start class activities, here you have the Energies IT Activities. Next week we will spend one session (out of two) in the Computer Room doing these activities. There are 16 exercises about forms of energies, types of energy resources, how power plants work to produce electricity and, finally, heat engines. See you all soon.
