Units 5&6 (The Internet and Programming): IT Activities

Hi! For the final activities in the computer room you will have to come to this post in order to download the files you need to complete the IT activities. Here you have the files:

• electricity, circuit01, circuit02, circuit03 and circuit04.

Apart from modifying a webpage (an html document), you will use the following web 2.0 tools:

• Virtual Classrooms: our Virtual Classroom
• Active Learning: the IT Activities in this blog
• Working together: you will create a text document after chatting for a while (titanpad)
• Working on your own: you will create an interactive mind map and print it in PDF (bubble)

• Studying online: programming on line using scratch (we will be using this tool in Unit 6)

Unit 5 (Computers and the Internet): warm-up activity

Hi everybody! This morning we had our first session about what the Internet is and what we did was to use smart phones to access and practice the activity below. Besides, you had the opportunity to vote your favorite workshop activity using this web. You will practice more activities like those in the computer room, using our computers. See you there.

Unit 4 (Electricity): Solutions to the Workbook Activities

Hi everybody ! As you know you will be taking the exam for unit 4 next week. Apart from reviewing  the IT Activities you have been working on over the last 6 weeks in the computer room, you may also complete the activities in your workbook with the help of the animation below. In the exam you will have to identify the components of an electric circuit (power supply, control devices, load devices and conductor), explain how the circuit works, calculate voltage drops in a circuit, etc. You will find activities with these questions in your work book.
