End of quarter (trimester)

Hi everybody! Here you have the schedule (timetable) for the last 4 weeks we have before Christmas.
  • At the moment, we are completing the second class activity (Isometric Projections). It is a 2-day activity in the classroom, so some of you are going to start the second session (CA2) meanwhile (in the meantime) others will be doing the first session (CA1) on Monday.
  • After finishing that activity you all will be working on the project for this unit: The Tangram Project. This is a workshop activity (WS) we will be doing individually in the classroom for two days (WS1, WS2). The materials you need are of the same kind you used for the class activities: 4 pieces of cardboard, glue stick, scissors and drawing tools.
  • And just between these two activities, you will be completing the computer activities (IT). You have already done two sessions while I was in Norwich, so now you have two sessions left (IT3 and IT4).
  • You will be taking the exam during the third of these 4 weeks. It will be an exam for Units 1 and 2, 50% each unit.
The schedule below shows you the schedule for your class. So follow carefully your class and be ready for the activities. If you want to check the whole thing (the activities, the solutions to the workbook and the presentations) click here. See you in class.

Hi again! As I told you, the last part of Unit 1 is the project. In order to put in practice the steps of the technological process, you are going to do a 3-day activity starting in the classroom (first session) and completing the activity in the workshop (2 sessions).
You will be given a problem and your task  is to build an object that solves that problem or need. As you know, the second step is "research the problem" and so you will have to investigate about the possible solutions to the problem. You need to do the research before going to the workshop. Here you have the questions you will find in your worksheet to complete this task:
