TPR1 Unit 4 (Computers, the Internet and Programming): Exam and Extra Activities

  ONLY TPR1

Hi! Here you have some ideas to prepare the exam (unit 4)  we are taking this coming week. As you know, we have 2 different parts:
  • Computers and the Internet: you all will do the exam in pairs, in the computer room. For this first part (50%) you will do 2 online tests.
  • Programming: the second part (50%) is an individual paper test about programming: flowcharts and programs with Scratch
To prepare this exam and get up to 2 extra points you can review the following activities:

  • ICT Activities
  1. Computers: Hardware and Software. Identify the different components and classify them into System Unit, Storage Devices and Peripherals. You also need to diffrentiate between input and output peripherals.
  2. Computer Networks: Identify the different components we find in a computer network and list the things you need to hace access the Internet (a website).
  3. Programming: flowcharts (algorithms) and programs. You have a version of Scratch in our virtual classroom to practice.
  • Workbook
  1. Have a look at the solutions to the Virtual Classroom Activities in our workbooks: computers and the Internet.
  • Extra Activities
  1. Complete 3 extra activities in Quizizz (10%). The dead line is 22nd of May.
  2. Download the workbooks (Computers and Programming), complete the activities and hand in it the the day of the exam (5% each).
Do not forget your notebook the day of the exam and good luck.
